Skógræktin kemur í mark

Þröstur Eysteinsson skógræktarstjóri fer fyrir liði Skógræktarinnar þegar það kemur í mark í Hafnarfirði við lok Wow Cyclothon hjólreiðakeppninnar 17. júní 2016. Þrjú lið voru í samfloti við Skógræktina síðustu nokkur hundruð kílómetrana, Fjallastelpur, LNS Saga og Team Raftákn. Reiðhjól Þrastar er sögulegt. Það átti fyrsti skógræktarstjórinn, Agner Kofoed-Hansen, og hjólaði mikið á því um landið í embættisferðum. Hjólið er líklega af árgerð 1907.

Mr. Eysteinsson, Head of the Icelandic Forest Service, leads the way over the finish line in Hafnarfjörður when the Team Skógræktin finishes the Wow Cyclothon bicycle race on 17 June 2016 along with three collaborating teams. The bike Mr. Eysteinsson is riding is historical. It's the bike of Iceland's first head of forestry, Mr. Agner Kofoed-Hansen, model year 1907. On that bike Mr. Kofoed-Hansen made quite many business trips around Iceland despite harsh and unpredictable weather conditions and primitive road system of his time.
